The American Society of Agronomy (ASA) is a prominent international scientific society headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. Because of their common interests, ASA, the Crop Science Society of America (CSSA), and the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) share a close working relationship as well as the same headquarters office staff. Each of the three Societies is autonomous, has its own bylaws, and is governed by its own Board of Directors. Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians
The Eastern Band of Cherokee, which is the only tribe in North Carolina that is recognized by the federal government, is located in western North Carolina in our traditional homelands. Our Tribe consists of approximately 14,000 enrolled members and holds 56,000 acres for our Qualla Boundary.

No-Till on the Plains
No-till on the Plains Inc. is a non-profit educational organization providing information to farmers on adopting No-till and other sustainable production methods, and to further develop those techniques. While adopting No-till and good agronomy (good biology) has the potential to greatly improve farmers' efficiency and profitability, many other benefits accrue to society, such as greatly reduced soil erosion of cropland, less sedimentation of rivers and lakes, better wildlife habitat in fields, and the sequestering of atmospheric carbon dioxide in soil organic matter.
 
Ohio No-till Council
The Ohio No-Till Council was formed in 1994 through the efforts of ten no-till farmers. The statewide organization now has over 285 members, including farmers and other agribusiness professionals. The Council publishes it's research findings and other helpful communications through the Ohio No-Till News page of the Ohio's Country Journal. (www.ocj.com) In addition, members have also helped organize the annual Tri-State Conservation Tillage Conference for Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York, and the annual Ohio No-Tillage Conference.
